Well, the week of my first Chemo treatment is over. As an old friend said "What a long strange trip it's been". Pumping my body with toxic poisons for 7 hours knocked me for quite a loop. (Tip: Don't take Xanax and Codeine before getting a bag of Benadryl infused. Bad Combo.) The first day or 2 was like a head fake. Not too bad. By Wednesday evening, there was not a part of my body which felt normal. I have memories of wearing braces and having aluminum foil touch it. Imagine that for 3 days. I can say I've been to the edge, puked in it and now I'm coming back. It's day 7 and the haze is finally lifted. Thank goodness. The appetite is still not back, but i've got many stored calories to work off. Fighting shape is coming.
